Yesterday S & B and I had a full day of adventures.

We started our day in Artesia. Artesia has a 3 or 4 block section that is like little India. All sorts of kinic nack shops, clothing stores, furniture, restaurants, etc. It was a lot of fun. B got her hand done in Henna. Isn’t it beautiful? If you are in California, I can tell you where we got it done. The girl was great!

We headed north of Artesia towards Downtown LA. We went to Olvera St. Olvera st. is http://www.olvera-street.com/. D had never been and we had fun. We ate at a whole in teh wall place called El Noche Buena. It was $4.95 per plate. I had Enchilada, Tamale and rice and beans. YUMMY! The enchilada sauce tasted like Mole.

Before the adventure was over we had a coffee and a chat at a funky coffee shop on OlveraCasa de Sousa. It is a old winery building that was used to hide liquor during prohibition. We chatted up the owner and through a series of discussions I have decided to have my next themed birthday bash at Casa de Sousa in July 2006. wooohooo The theme will be explianed in details oon, but a quick peak….imagine Frida and Diego…Trotsky and all…in one room, listening to spanish guitar and raising funds for our political causes: FOCUS, WYSE and Integvu. heh
