A few months back I started to see how much I had gotten away from who I am deep down. You know…my identity.

Although identity is fluid, my core is a multi-ethinic female who is proud of my heritage and finds myself in it when I am not off track.

Recently there are some people who have come into my life who have me moving toward the groove that I desire. “D”, “S”, “S” and “V”. Thank you. I want to feel the African woman in me. I want to feel the Powhatun woman in me.

There is no mistaking the fact that the brown skin folks in my past are speaking to me right now.

This is a powerful feeling and I am lovin’ it.
